Koha to Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust please. You are invited to join a training session aiming to upskill volunteers to get the maximum effect out of a range of traps including DoC 200’s and 250’s. This event is open to all conservation group volunteers.
The session will be delivered by John Bissell who has a lifetime of experience in the mountains and farming country of New Zealand. Based in the Wairapa, John runs Backblocks Environmental Management Ltd supporting a range of projects to get great predator control outcomes throughout New Zealand.
John specialises in predator control around the protection of highly susceptible species such as kiwi and kokako. His motto is to train people how to think, not what to think so that they can take the learnings and apply them to every trap set across the entire network.
