SUMMARY:Volunteer Wednesday
DESCRIPTION:WORK DAY – preparing Diphacinone for placement and/or line maintenance. We will be at the Kohunga regardless of the weather – so an easy preparation day today. Come and join us for coffee and a biscuit/cake and a chat about our operations. \nWe run “Volunteer Wednesday” on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. The day is either ‘work’ focused – helping with ongoing pest management operations and maintenance OR ‘discovery’ focused. \nArrive at the kohanga ready to go at 9am\, and enjoy a morning cuppa and a chat before you head home at 12. \nWork days – join us for a work morning with Aongatete Forest Project. There are plenty of tasks on offer. Bring clothing and footwear suitable for walking both on and off track\, gloves and pair of secateurs. \nDiscovery days – join us for a discovery morning with Aongatete Forest Project. The morning will reward you with discovering aspects of the AFP you mayn’t have seen or been to before. Each ‘Discovery Day’ has a different theme and these will be confirmed the month before the event. Bring clothing and footwear suitable for walking both on and off track\, water and personal medication etc. The allocated day for our discovery events may change depending on the event and the weather. \nWe hope you can come to both. Subject to weather with notification updates on our website. \nFor more information email events@aongateteforest.org \n
