Welcome to Intake 10 of the BCA Cadet Programme!

Well done to intake 10 of our cadets on completing their second week!

No two days on the BCA cadet programme are the same. These guys have already covered modules such as outdoor first aid, GIS and GPS, freshwater monitoring, bird and plant ID and navigation skills. And there are still 10 weeks to go!

This awesome programme is funded through Jobs for Nature and offers a unique opportunity for 11 cadets on each intake to gain a wide range of conservation skills, knowledge and qualifications. A large percentage of our past cadets have gone on to find employment within the conservation sector which is just wonderful, and shows what a successful programme this is. Each cadet graduates with a valuable set of skills and hands on experience, boosting the number of qualified and knowledgeable conservationists out there contributing towards preserving and protecting the vital flora and fauna of Aotearoa.
